Lira is a single 120 cm line of champagne-gold metal with the light hidden inside it. There is no bulb to look at and no shade to dust — an LED strip sits recessed along the underside of the frame, so what reaches the table is a soft continuous wash rather than a row of bright points. Above eye level it reads as a piece of trim; below it, as a clean band of warm light the full length of the table.

The champagne finish is the reason it works in rooms where brass feels too warm and chrome too cold. It picks up whatever is around it — oak, marble, plaster — and settles somewhere between metal and light. Hung level on fine steel cables from a slim matching canopy, it disappears into a ceiling far more gracefully than anything with arms.

Recessed, glare-free LED

The diffuser sits inside the frame rather than below it, so you get an even band of light down the table with nothing bright in your eye line across it.

Dimmable, by remote

Brightness and colour temperature adjust from the handset — bright and neutral for working at the table, low and warm once dinner is served.

Installation

Lira hardwires to a standard ceiling junction box through the slim canopy, then hangs from two steel cables. Set the drop before you tighten the adjusters — over a dining table the underside usually sits 75–85 cm above the surface. Centre the fixture on the table rather than on the room, and check it is level along its full length with a spirit level before you finish. Switch the circuit off at the breaker first, and use a licensed electrician if you are not comfortable with mains wiring.

Questions

What size table does 120 cm suit?

As a rule the fixture should be around half to two-thirds the length of the table, so 120 cm sits comfortably over tables of roughly 180–240 cm — a six to eight seater. On a shorter table it will still work, it just becomes more of a feature than a background element.

Does it need a dimmer switch on the wall?

No. Dimming and colour temperature are handled by the included remote, so it wires to an ordinary switched circuit. Do not put it on a wall dimmer as well — an integrated LED driver and a trailing-edge dimmer together can cause flicker.

Champagne finishes shift slightly under different light sources and can vary a shade between production batches. Measurements may differ by a few millimetres.
