Rondo is a round glass shade held in a copper frame, mounted flush to the ceiling — the kind of fitting that used to light stairwells and entrance halls a century ago, and still does it better than most of what replaced it. The glass softens the light; the copper frames it.

Because it sits close to the ceiling it works where pendants can't — landings, corridors, low bedrooms — and it comes in three sizes, so the same fitting can run through a whole floor of the house at the right scale for each room.

Installation

Rondo fixes directly to a ceiling junction box with the included mounting plate — no drop to set, no cables to trim. Switch the circuit off at the breaker first, and use a licensed electrician if you are not comfortable with mains wiring.

Which size for which room?

As a rule: Small (Ø35) for hallways, landings and entries; Medium (Ø45) for bedrooms and studies; Large (Ø60) for living and dining rooms. When in doubt, go one size up — flush fittings rarely look too big.

Does it suit low ceilings?

Yes — that is exactly what it is for. The shade sits close to the ceiling, so it lights the room without hanging into headroom.

Metal finishes vary slightly between production batches; measurements may differ by a few millimetres.
